The Logan Award in memory of AGCH Windrush Logan’s Run
(This award is in addition to the awards offered through the ACTFA Family Dog
Project)

Background
:
Logan began his show career with his breeder Mary Wright where he entered the breed ring however,
before he finished his championship, he grew a little too large for the standard. While this ended his
breed ring career, it also opened a new life for him. With Mary, Logan began agility training and earned
his CAT (coursing ability test) prior to going to live with Stephanie Capkovic & Robert Kripaitis. While
the original plan was for Logan to become Rob’s agility terrier, Logan had other ideas and chose Steph to
be his partner/handler. Together they participated in agility, rally, Canine Good Citizen, & Barn Hunt.
Earning a total of 85 titles in 3 dogs sports from 3 different organizations, Logan was the first Cesky
Terrier and the 7th Terrier to earn the Agility Grand Champion Title from the AKC. Logan was also the
first Cesky Terrier to earn the RATCH, RATCHX, RATCH3 & RATCH3 from Barn Hunt.
Logan was a very funny boy that kept Steph laughing and the crowd entertained. He would growl when
petted at the agility start line which he soon did on cue to the words “start your engine!”. He had a
serious stubborn streak so if he decided to go to an off-course tunnel in agility there was no stopping
him! His animated hunting style -lots of serious barking and tube biting-was always fun to watch. While
his list of titles is impressive, what is most important are the fun and silly memories that were made.

be earned after the individual is approved as an active member.
Grandfathering of Titles: Active ACTFA members that have earned titles prior to the acceptance of this
award program will have all titles earned while an active ACTFA member counted for all levels of the
Logan Awards.

Application Process:
In January of each year, the Companion & Performance Committee will issue a notice and application via
email to all Active ACTFA Members that applications for the Logan Awards are open for submission. A
notice will also be posted in the club’s newsletter. Applications must be submitted to the Companion &

Performance Committee, or the individual identified by the Companion & Performance Committee by
March 31. Late submission for a Logan Award will result in the award being presented at the next
annual awards banquet.
A notice will also be placed in the ACTFCA Newsletter.
The application will require that the name and abbreviation of the title earned and the name and
abbreviation of the sanctioning organization be listed for each title earned. Members earning this
award will have the opportunity to waive receipt of the physical award but are encouraged to submit
the listed information to the Companion & Performance Committee so that appropriate recognition of
the accomplishments can be completed.
